Sono state annunciate le nomination ai WGA Awards 2011, i premi assegnati dal sindacato degli scrittori radiotelevisivi/cinematografici americani. A guidare la lista delle nomination troviamo Breaking Bad, 30 Rock e Modern Family con tre candidature a testa. Non ci sono grandi novità nelle categorie principali, miglior drama e miglior comedy, dato che quattro fiction delle cinque che componevano la cinquina lo scorso anno sono state riconfermate (a loro si sono aggiunte Boardwalk Empire e Nurse Jackie). Tra i candidati si segnalano anche la serie del momento The Walking Dead e la serie cult degli ultimi anni, Lost.
